Mahmudullah left out of 2nd Test against Sri Lanka

Mahmudullah, the veteran Bangladesh all-rounder, has been left out of
the second Test against Sri Lanka in Colombo, Khaled Mahmud, the team
manager, confirmed on Monday (March 13). The Test match, which will
commence on March 15, turns out to be Bangladesh's 100th game in the
longest format.
As it would be an 'emotional' milestone in the history
of Bangladesh's cricket, the team management opted to not leave a senior
player on the bench. Instead, the all-rounder will travel back home.
Mahmudullah has struggled for form in the recent past, evidenced by the
303 runs the all-rounder has notched up in his last 12 innings. In the
recently-concluded first Test against Sri Lanka in Galle, he accumulated
scores of 8 and 0, and also bowled only two overs.
